How does VidiVet help pet parents?

When we built VidiVet we had a clear goal: to give pet parents peace of mind. It means that you don’t have to rely on social media advice or wondering if what you googled is right or not.

What we have built means you can get an answer from a vet almost instantly, about anything pet related. 

What can I ask VidiVet?

Literally anything about your pet. If it is important to you then it is important to us!

What if I want to cancel?

Obviously, we don’t want you to, that is why we deliver such an awesome service to all of our members. But, if you decide VidiVet isn’t for you, then all you have to do is let us know by emailing support@vidivet.com and let us know if you want to either cancel or pause your membership.

What if I have forgotten my password?

No problem, it’s really easy to change your password in the VidiVet app.

  • From the first page of the app, select the ‘Log in’ button.
  • Just below the email and password fields tap the link called ‘Don’t remember your password?‘ 
  • Enter your email used to register with VidiVet
  • You’ll be emailed a link to reset your password to something new.

What if my vet practice now uses VidiVet - can my subscription change?

Yes, we’d be more than happy to help you switch your account over to one provided by your vet practice. We want to ensure you keep all your previous ‘ask a vet’ questions. To do this simply send an email over to us:

support@vidivet.com

Please include your email that is registered with VidiVet, and let us know if that email is the same as registered with your practice. 

We will make the amendment to your account, cancel any subscriptions if you have one with us, and let you know when all is completed.

What about out of hours?

VidiVet has plans that operate 24/7 so whether you are worried first thing in the morning or at midnight, we are always here to support you no matter how big or small your question about your pet is.
So, whether it is 2pm or 2am, we are there for you and your pet no matter what!

How is VidiVet different from other digital vet services?

  1. It is the first service of its kind in the UK that puts you directly in touch with a vet and gives you the ability to store, record and review all of our answers so you never have to worry about forgetting what the vet told you again.

Why don’t we prescribe?

Prescribing medications is an act of veterinary medicine, so to prescribe medications we need to have seen your pet. If you get a prescription from your physical vet for medications then VidiVet is more than happy to help you get those medications by pointing you towards our digital pharmacy partners.

If the wrong medications are given in the wrong circumstances it can make things a lot worse for your pet, not to mention if we give antibiotics out inappropriately it can lead to bacteria developing resistance and that is how we end up with diseases that are resistant to drugs and can be life-threatening to pets and ourselves.

We also want to support the vet profession, if we give out medications, it takes revenues away from practices, and the knock-on effect is it increases the cost of other services to you. This is because a vet practice will need to make up that money lost from other areas and treatment services. So by working together, not only can we help direct you in the right way, but we can also help your vet practice to stay open so that you can get veterinary services on your doorstep.

Is VidiVet a replacement for my vet?

The short answer to this is no. VidiVet is here to help both you and your vets.

It means if you don’t need to go to the vet then you don’t have to, but we also know exactly when you do need to go to the vet. Because of how we work with our VidiVetters, we help you to go into the vets less stressed, less worried, more informed and more aware of what may happen.

This results in your vet helping you much more efficiently.
You don’t need to phone them or call them, we are here to support you 24/7 and that means their staff are available to help those in need with other sick pets rather than having to spend their day on the phone or answering emails etc.
